FYP Phosphates

Phosphate coating is for the preparation of iron, steel, galvanized steel or aluminum surfaces, which is done by a dilute solution of phosphoric acid and other chemicals. The surface of the metal reacts chemically with the acid solution and creates a protective surface of phosphate crystals on the layer. Depending on the type of material, the condition of the surface of the parts, mechanical and chemical treatment before phosphating, the compositions of the phosphating bath, and also the working conditions of phosphating are different.
The system that creates the phosphate coating is determined according to the size and shape of the surface on which the coating is created. Coating of small parts such as screws, nuts, nails, etc. is done in phosphate solution pools. In some industries, such as refrigeration, a spray system is used, and a deep spray system is used in the car body. Steel plates can be coated by passing through a phosphate solution or by spraying.
According to statistics, the most use of phosphate coating is as a paint base. Phosphate coating increases the resistance of the metal as well as the color acceptance on the metal surface. It is used as a color base in the automotive industry, home appliances, auto parts, metal industry, lighting, etc.
There are three types of phosphate electrical insulation:
iron phosphate
zinc phosphate
Manganese phosphate
which is segmented as follows for consumption:
